FTM Top surgery is a surgical procedure to make the chest look more masculine. This is performed in multiple ways, but the most common is a double incision mastectomy with free nipple grafts. Some patients elect to not undergo free nipple grafts. Other techniques include keyhole incision and liposuction.

After Top surgery, expect some bruising for 1-4 weeks. At least 1 week off of work is recommended. During week one, there will be drains to care for. After week one, drains are removed and nipple graft care is started. At 3 weeks, scar care is initiated. Compression is recommended for 3-4 weeks. Full recovery and return to all activities is expected in 4-6 weeks.
