Vein Treatment

Lasers and IPL can remove unsightly facial telangiectasias, or tiny facial veins, leg spider veins, and other vascular lesions. The unsightly veins can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. A careful evaluation will help you determine which vessels can be treated and the best course of treatment.

Most patients experience a slight snap with delayed heat sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, and most patients do not require any topical anesthetic.
-
Ice is immediately applied to the area following your treatment to minimize redness or any bruising that may occur. When veins on the legs are treated, medical-grade compression stockings (20-30mmHg) are recommended to assist in the healing process. Larger veins can leave a tan or brownish pigment due to the body’s reabsorption process. This can be treated with accompanying laser and/or light treatments.

The success of vein removal is dependent on multiple factors: area(s) of the body treated, age, associated health issues, etc. Most patients find that most of the treated veins on the face disappear within a matter of hours or days. Others have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, the final result of your treatment may not be apparent for several months, up to 1 year. Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear, but these, too, can be removed with laser and/or IPL treatments.
Vein Treatment
Vascular lesions include a range of conditions. Whether it be leg veins, facial veins, angiomas, venous lakes, or rosacea, laser and light-based devices have become a viable treatment option to safely and effectively remove and diminish unwanted vascular concerns. Multiple lasers and Intense Pulsed Light (or IPL) wavelengths can treat both face and leg veins, safely and effectively for men and women and of all skin types.
The laser delivers pulses of light energy to the damaged blood vessel, causing it to collapse. As the damaged vessel is reabsorbed by your body, blood flow is redirected to surrounding healthy veins.
